Arpit was born into the defence family. His father worked for the Indian Navy, while his mother was an English teacher. Brought up with strong values and always guided well, Arpit was very strong academically, as well as with extracurricular activities. He was always among the top-3 rankers in his class, and has represented his school and college in sports such as Badminton, Cricket and Football . He was always interested in the creative field and has won awards at the school and college level for acting, singing and writing as well.

Being academically sound, Arpit topped his respective schools in his Class 10 and Class 12. He was also 5th in the CBSE-Mumbai region, in his 12th board exam, scoring a whopping 92.5%. Like his father, he chose to be an engineer and graduated with a First Class degree from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai. He was placed with Patni Computer Systems in his final year of college, and seven days after completing his engineering, started his corporate career as a Software Engineer at Patni. After completing 2 years with Patni, he moved on to Capgemini Consulting, Mumbai and worked there till November 2008.

Always drawn towards the Arts, Arpit made the bold step of quitting a cushy, well-paid job to pursue the creative field. He started as a stage actor with Yatri Theater Group and a few months into the new venture landed his first role in a TV show. Since then, Arpit has never looked back and his work, as an Actor and an Anchor, speaks for itself. His natural, subtle acting is a favorite among directors and he is a fireball on stage. He is based out of Mumbai and in spite of being a recognizable face, he still prefers to spend time with his family and play a game of Badminton, or Squash, whenever he gets the chance.

Apart from his love of sports, Arpit is an ardent animal lover. He also enjoys music, and learnt Hindustani Classical Music for 3 years. Ever one to explore a new place (possibly because of his Defence background), Arpit loves to travel and enjoys it much more, when it is related to work.
